TW Reloaded Issue 14 - All Good Things

*Kendrick Jr is in his make shift training room, taking down training dummies when Sonny enters the room.*

Kendrick Jr:
Hey, how are you feeling?

Sonny:
Yeah I'm getting there thanks. I came to see how you were doing.

Kendrick Jr:
Oh you know, the usual. I took quite a beating earlier so I figured I'd train my skills.

Sonny:
I see. Look kid, I'm really glad you came back when you did. I just wish that we could have given you the homecoming you deserved. 

Kendrick Jr:
It's okay man honestly.

Sonny:
No it's not and if I'm honest with you, It seems I can't look after myself out there. I need a partner. 

Kendrick Jr:
But you've done a good job here on your own. What is this all about?

Sonny:
Kendrick, this city get's even more dangerous within each passing day. I was nearly killed out there before you came along. What I'm trying to say is, This city can't be protected with only one Spider-Man. I need a partner like Batman's Robin or Nightwing or Captain America's Bucky. I need someone who can take down the dark forces with me. I need you man. 

Kendrick Jr:
Well I'm thrilled Sonny, but I'm not ready. I'm not that skilled yet.

Sonny:
No but you will be. Do you remember the day when I found you tackling those two sentry droids? I took you in because I saw potential in you as fighter just like your father. Now I don't know if you ever got to see him on your travels, but I know that he would be proud if he knew what you was doing now. You would be carrying on the family name.

Kendrick Jr:
*Thinks it over* What did you have in mind?

Sonny:
Come with me.

*Sonny takes Kendrick Jr into his room and pulls out a metal brief case from a secret compartment.*

Sonny:
Do not tell Nick Fury that I gave you this, but I made you a little something while I was recovering. Go on open it up.

*Kendrick opens up the case to find another Spider-Man suit, clad in dark red with glowing red eyes and black stripes.* 

Kendrick Jr:
*pulls out the suit* Is this....one of your suits?

Sonny:
Kind of. The Systems and materials are the same but the design is different. I got the idea off of one of the Spider-Men from the heroic age. His name was Ben Reilly. He was a clone of the original Peter Parker. 

Kendrick Jr:
Yes I know. He was mentioned in my Father's journals. He was called "The Scarlet Spider"

Sonny:
That's right. Well what do you think? Do you think you can become The Scarlet Spider?

Kendrick Jr:
Yeah....could be fun.

*****

*Meanwhile, across the city at Oscorp, Damien Judd makes an announcement to his staff members.*

Damien:
It's over. Oscorp's contract with the alien species has been terminated due to, deception. That's right. We have been deceived, gentlemen. Our test subject resulted in the casualties of hundreds of people. Oscorp can not begins to repay the victims and repair the damages at short notice, but we will rebuild this city and also restore this company's reputation. As for my board of directors, I have allocated you all to specific objectives. They will be mailed to you however I can share what they are. We will shut down Bio-Tec and destroy the remaining evidence that links our involvement with the alien bonding projects. Our test subject died because of this monstrosity of a project. 

Board Member:
You mean, Jason Osborn has passed away?

Damien:
That's right. His body was found by local authorities after he was detached from the alien host. We collected him from the local hospital but he died en-route towards our medical facility. For this, I personally feel responsible. 

Board Member #2:
Sir, what will Oscorp do once we pull out of the Bio-Tec contract?

Damien:
We'll do what we've always done best. Sign into Military contracts and make weapons. We live in an age of technology and wonder. Those two things were what originally made this company, but went AWOL and....well made mistakes. I like to think of this as a learning curve. A Life lesson.

Board Member #3:
And what about Spider-Man?

Damien:
Ah Spider-Man. If he did indeed survive the Symbiote bonding and escaped, then I doubt it's the last we've seen of him. Whatever happens, we'll never stop to eradicate this city of him *Walks to the window and stares out of it* The times constantly change Gentlemen. We live in a world where don't need men behind masks, swinging on webs. Although he is smart, Spider-Man will eventually slip up and we'll have him, but until then....The games continue.
