The Trojan Advance

*The Old Steel Mill sits in the silence on the outskirts of old Detroit. The Silence is abruptly interrupted when a huge explosion rocks the ground. A lone black, squad car penetrates the main gates. It's driver rams the vehicle into the various stationary enforcement droids that are firing at him. The Car eventually skids to a halt. The doors over, releasing steam from the dozen gun shot rounds. RoboCop and Widow exit the vehicle and advance onto the centre warehouse. The same warehouse where Murphy was brutally murdered.*

RoboCop:
I'm detecting a high...energy output from the central structure.

Black Widow:
That must be Trojan! *Opens fire on the enforcement droids*  It's not going to be easy to get inside, Murphy.

RoboCop:
I'll make us an entrance. *Opens his left leg holster and reveals a grenade.*

*RoboCop throws the grenade and destroys the door. The pair cautiously enter the darkened warehouse and are met with a huge machine. They stare at the huge Trojan machine. It covers the entire interior. They begin to advance when the Chairman takes them by surprise.*

Chairman:
I had a feeling you would show up here. You just couldn't leave this matter alone.

RoboCop:
This ends...now.

Chairman:
Oh? Just how is this going to end? S.H.I.E.L.D isn't going to make a difference here. OCP has watched over Delta City for countless generations, putting roofs over peoples heads, putting food on their plates, putting money in their banks. Did you seriously think that I wanted it to come down to this?

RoboCop:
There are other non violent ways to protect the city.

Chairman:
So one would think. Take a look around you officer. There's no hope here. Only death, corruption and greed.

Black Widow:
Yeah the three words you money grabbing bastards love to hear!

Chairman:
And who the hell are you?

Black Widow:
I'm the one who's about to tear you a new asshole. That's unless you turn this heap of crap off...like a good pensioner.

Chairman:
*Laughs* That's pretty funny. I think my enforcement droids have something to say about that.

*Suddenly, Robo and Widow are surrounded by an entire assembly line of enforcement droids.*

Chairman:
They'll fire when I give the word. Fortunately I've been feeling really good lately so here's how it's going to go. You've got exactly one chance to walk out of here alive so we can continue our work. Or I'll simply have the droids hack you pieces. I'm sorry RoboCop. Or should I say Alex Murphy. There's nothing much you can do to stop this. You've done a great service to this city and now just like all old electronics, you're obsolete. Your a piece of metallic garbage who just won't go away. I'll give you thirty seconds to get out of here. Dare oppose me and I'll have you recycled into a metal trash can!

RoboCop:
*Stares at the Chairman*

Black Widow:
Well Murphy, It's your call. I can easily stick a bullet in between this bastard's eyes.

RoboCop:
Stand down.

Black Widow:
What!?

RoboCop:
*Turns to leave* Lets...go.

*The Chairman laughs as the two agents leave the premises.*

Chairman:
I knew you would make the right choice.

*Outside, RoboCop waits until they have left the site.*

Black Widow:
Would you please just tell me what the hell that was all about!?

RoboCop:
Call The Delta Heli-pad. Tell them that Murphy needs a favour.

*****

*As the hours roll on, A small attack helicopter powers up on a small, unmarked helipad. RoboCop enters the strip and exits his car. He marches towards the chopper and climbs about into the passenger seat. Widow climbs into the pilots seat and fastens her safety belt.*

Black Widow:
Murphy, I have something to tell you. I've go back to S.H.I.E.L.D tomorrow. I'm in the Avengers now.

RoboCop:
Congratulations. Can we go now?

Black Widow:
*Smiles* Lets get them partner.

*Back at the steel mill, the enforcement droids line up and aim their guns to the sky. The Trojan computer detects the incoming attack chopper and sends out an order to fire on target.*

RoboCop:
The Trojan computer has detected out presence. We'll be expecting heavy fire in three minutes.

Black Widow:
How do you know that exactly?

RoboCop:
I can...hear it. Every OCP machine has the same rhythmic coded sensors. I have them too.

Black Widow:
Huh..

RoboCop:
As for the Avengers....Congratulations.

Black Widow:
I know. You already said that.

RoboCop:
I mean it...this time. You are a good friend to me...Natasha. I want you to join them in one piece. I don't want you to enter that building with me.

Black Widow:
Sorry big guy, I'm flattered and all but this is my current job. I can take care of myself.

RoboCop:
I said no.

Black Widow:
*Glares at Murphy* You really are human.

RoboCop:
When I'm serious...about these things. Nick Fury might only see you as an agent, but you are more.

*Suddenly, their chopper is rocked by heavy gun fire. Widow keeps the attack vehicle steady while RoboCop climbs onto one of the Gatling guns. He opens fire. Bullets riddle the ground below, destroying many of the attacking enforcement droids. The numbers begin to diminish until Widow eventually sets the chopper down*

Black Widow:
Are you sure you're going this one alone!?

RoboCop:
Someone needs to fly the chopper back.

Black Widow:
Be careful out there.

RoboCop:
Thank you. *Disembarks*

*RoboCop returns to the building and kicks down the side door. Slowly advancing, he draws his auto-9 pistol. He then arrives at the Trojan computer and finds the Chairman, gazing outside the window.*

Chairman:
It seems that's I've underestimated you once again, Murphy. You've practically destroyed the entire assembly line out there. Congratulations. There is hope for you yet.

RoboCop:
Turn of Trojan and surrender yourself. *Aims his auto 9 pistol at the Chairman.* We can settle this the easy way.

Chairman:
We both know you can't kill me. It's built into your program. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the directive is so encrypted that you can't over ride it.

RoboCop:
You are correct.

Chairman:
Ahh so there's a way out of this after all. That's the beauty of all of this. No matter how hard you try to disrupt my vision, I will always be that one step ahead of you. You can't touch me.

RoboCop:
I can't stop you. *Aims his auto 9 pistol at the Trojan computer panel* But I can slow you down.

Chairman:
Noooo!

*Robo fires and hits the control panel dead on. The computer terminal begins to fizz and crackle. Sparks begin to fly. Components burst into flames. Amongst the confusion, the Chairman makes a run for it and escapes through the back door. RoboCop heads back towards the main entrance. The warehouse begins to explode violently around him as he marches out into the open, leaving nothing but a trail of destruction and flames behind him. Suddenly, the remaining enforcement droids begins to fizz and burst into flames. RoboCop eventually stops in his tracks and turns to witness the destruction that he has caused. He spots the Chairman's limo escape the area through the intense heat waves, but decides not to follow.*

RoboCop:
*Looks up as Widow returns with the chopper and climbs in* Perfect timing.

Black Widow:
Hmm. Perfect explosion. There's never a dull moment with you.

RoboCop:
*Cracks a smile* No. Trojan has been completely destroyed, but the Chairman has escaped.

Black Widow:
I wouldn't worry about that. Let the cowardly bastard run away. Lets get back to the station. I got some packing to do.

RoboCop:
Agreed...Natasha.

*****

*Later at Stark Concepts building.*

RoboCop:
It was fun.

Natasha:
Is that it? Come on Murphy, I know you've got more to say.

RoboCop:
*Silently removes his helmet and reveals his cold face* Look at this face. It is the face of a dead man. A man...who has lost everything. It's all different now. I never...had much friends. Anne Lewis, Lisa Madigan....John Cable. They're dead. I don't wish to lose any more friends. That's why I find it hard...to say goodbye to you.

Natasha:
You are a good friend to me too, Murphy. Come and visit me sometime. I'll introduce you to the team.

RoboCop:
Yes. I'll...be thinking of you.

Natasha:
Oh and another thing *Kisses Murphy on his cold grafted head* You are more human than you think. Oh and see Rhodes over there? Make sure he never finds me on Facebook.

RoboCop:
*Confused* Facebook?

*With that remark, Widow exits the building and heads towards the portal. RoboCop places on his helmet and loads his pistol.*

Rhodey:
Hey, so I guess you'll be doing things on your own now.

RoboCop:
Affirmative. Don't wait up...I'm off to work. *Leaves the building*

Rhodey:
*Smiles* I know pal. I know.
